Methodites, our new block will be ready quite soon. The "frame" is already up, just the final touches needed. On the 31st of October, 2 members of the Archive Authority decided to tour the building before leaving school.

After a short safety briefing from the contractor, we headed up the stairs cautiously, and even chatted with some of the labourers there. You're gonna love this new block!

11th October 2007 - Lantern Festival

By Chong Yem Meng, U6-W

Last Thursday, I've celebrated the Lantern Festival in school wor... Compare to last year, this year celebration was totally chaotic and it was so much fun!!! hahaha...

The celebration started at 6.00pm sharp, I was late 10mins because I was chilling myself at home playing my nintendo gameboy SP. When suddenly, I didn't realize how late I was...argh!!! Damn it!!! I quickly rush to the LRT station and in a surprise i found out tat the station was packed with humans!!! argh!!! This is all nintendo gameboy SP's fault, lured me to play that stupid so interesting game and now I'm going to be late for the celebration!!! argh!!! *NUTZ*

When i reach to school, I saw Siong Fatt who was also rushing his way to the school hall... Oh yeah, this time, the Lantern Festival was celebrated in the school hall it self, compare to last time... We celebrated it at the open-aired school's terrace. But we were lucky to celebrate it at the school hall, because later around 8pm it started to rain! Thank goodness...

Aiks...I'd missed the first performance form the guys, but at least i got to watch the second performance form the girls. It was the Chinese Fan Dance...dunno what it called, but some how rather like tat lar... The performance was nice, but it could had been better if the girls smile!!! hahaha...

As for food, there were some sandwiches and fruits. NICE!!! Thank you Hang Ming for bringing me the last sandwiches!!! Muac!!!

After the feast, there were some interact games for family and friends...it was so funny to see them take part in the interact games... I'm glad to see family members and friends get to gather in a happy environment, they were so cute! hahaha...

Later around 9pm...I was playing with lanterns around the school compound, walk along with Wen Chean, Janice and Alex... Me and Alex was actually trying to scared Janice and Wen Chean with ghost stories...eventually, it failed!!! hahaha... I'm not much of a good story teller, lame jokes are my expectise, kekeke... After we had finish playing with our lanterns, in a sudden Alex's lantern set to flames!!! Argh!!! Burned by who I'm not sure... Without thinking, I quickly save my lantern from the other guys who are being quite not themself at that time....hahaha, it was a great time for me and my friends tat time.
